  • In 2002 received Doctorate Degree from the Ola Grimsby Institute of Manual Therapy
  • In 2004 completed manual therapy residency in spinal manipulation, also through the Ola Grimsby Institute
  • Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist
  • Co-owner of private practice since 1991
  • Member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Orthopedic section
  • Certified Mulligan Practitioner
  • Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists
  • In 2016 completed training to specialize in Dance Medicine through the Harkness Center for Dance Medicine at New York University

    Has worked part-time at Joint Effort since 2004
    Successful in treating people with all types of orthopedic injuries and neurological conditions

    Tina grew up in Southeast Alaska and then moved to Southern California to continue her education. She attended Biola University where she played basketball and graduated in 2016 with a degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Biblical Studies. She moved back to Anchorage and is currently working towards PT school. She enjoys any outdoor activity (preferably in the summertime) and spending time with her sisters.

    Cherie, an East Tennessean from Knoxville, recently moved to Alaska to continue her career in the Air National Guard as an Aerospace Medical Technician. She received her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Athletic Training with a minor in Athletic Coaching as a student/athlete at Lincoln Memorial University. Running, hiking, and music are a few of Cherie’s favorite things!

    Receptionist/Biller

    Emily is originally from Southern California and moved to Alaska  in 2010 when she married an Alaskan. She has always enjoyed reading, shopping, and hiking, but has added some new favorite activities since moving here; rocking climbing and fishing! Her two dogs like to join her in outdoor adventures.
    Church and Bible study are a priority for Emily, who majored in Bible at The Master’s College in Santa Clarita, California.
    Emily has been at Joint Effort since 2013: she is the person often “behind the scenes” getting insurance claims paid!
